| Dinners at the Batter are affordable and delicious. Appetizers may include local Oysters, Fried Calamari, Steamed Clams, Pear Walnut Salad, and Mussels in Red or White Sauce. The menu features such items as Steamed Whole Live Lobster, Soft Shell Crabs, Grilled Salmon, Caribbean Seasoned Grouper, and Surf and Turf. Daily specials feature fresh catch of the day and fresh vegetables in season.
Consider "doing brunch" at the Mad Batter while in Cape May; you won't be disappointed. You can dine outdoors on the front porch or in a garden setting. You will see the line outside of the restaurant filled with locals and visitors. If you want Eggs Benedict, this is the place for you. They also serve a Victorian brunch of seasonal fruits and cheeses with homemade fruit breads and muffins, or granola or even regular breakfast items such as pancakes and waffles. Lunches are soups, salads, and sandwiches and all made with the freshest ingredients and the Mad Batter knowledge of creating wonderful food: out of the ordinary and in a delightful setting. The new late lunch features seafood selections, best enjoyed with our exciting new selection of micro brews. If you just want dessert, the Mad Batter has espresso, cappuccino, cafe au lait and flavored lattes plus sumptious desserts. Sin by the slice. Mark says, "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first." There is no smoking in the restaurant. Reservations are recommended for dinner and large parties are welcome. |
