| Mangia Mangia is the quintessential Italian restaurant. They serve only dinner but it is the place to go if you are a large family party, eight or more. You should plan to get there early, around 5:00 pm, as there are no reservations and large parties are harder to seat. Kids are welcome and there are plenty of menu choices designed to appeal to them.
Appetizers include Shrimp Cocktail, Fried Calamari, Steamed Clams, Fried Ravioli, Steamed Mussels, and a Sampler Platter. Their soup specialty is Chicken Escarole. House specialties include: Fettuccini Alfredo, Penne Primavera, Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Florentine and Tortellini Alfredo. You can get a variety of veal, chicken or seafood entrees such as Shrimp Pasquale which has shrimp, roasted peppers, and broccoli, sauteed in white wine, butter, garlic and olive oil, with cavatelli.
If you are in the mood just for pasta and sauces you can have Cheese Ravioli with Meatballs, Manicotti or Cavatelli with Marinara Sauce, Baked Ziti or Schumann's Stuffed Shell. The children's menu offers time tested favorites such as Pasta Bow Ties & Meatballs, Fettuccini Alfredo, Honey dipt chicken, Fried Shrimp, Chicken Nuggets, Manicotti and Meatball or Stuffed Shells.
On parties of 8 or more a 15% gratutity is added and there is a shared plate charge of $2.50. All entrees are served with a house salad and fresh bread. There is no liquor license, so you are allowed to bring your own wine or beer. Mangia Mangia will prepare orders for takeout. |
